# Late Arrival
[[Benji Pickletoes]] arrived after searching the [[West Valley Township]] for clues that might lead him to his ransomed friend, [[Pickles]]. Led there by a dream, he found a hermit that led him to believe that the [[Triskelion]] may be involved in Pickles' disappearance.
# Never Over Lightly
Failing in the direct approach, the party ventured off to explore the town. Walking into the barbershop, they found, surprisingly, the barber! He, like the rest of the town, was lost in a charm: performing the man haircut on a missing patron. Prior to [[Sprocket]] using one of his very limited herbal remedies to bring the barber back to reality, [[Dr. Evil]] swiped the scissors and razor off the addled man. After being cured, Dr. Evil offered to get his haircut (he's bald) and the barber, realizing he was not holding a razor, reached into his chest of drawers to retrieve a **`VERY rusty`** razor. Dr. Evil backed out.
The barber elucidated the mayor's tenure has been... an amount of time somewhere between a few days and a few months. He also informed the party that the mayor's house is just along the way.
# Mayor's Abode
At the mayor's house, the party discovered a historical statue that has been corrupted by the overgrowth to resemble a frilled lizard-man hybrid. Inside, they found an extravagant dwelling with the floor plan of a studio apartment. Clearly, a beautiful, eccentric man lives here.
Using minor ransacking, the party was able to uncover a set of concentric, mossy rings and a tapestry depicting a man with a green, flame engraved talisman. Sprocket, never one to pass up a snack, ate a sample of the moss. Seeing his lack of tummy-ache as a clue, he utilized more of their herbal remedies (*twice*) to temporarily negate the magical affects of the overgrowth. Motivated by the rapid revitalization of the rings, Sprocket dug through the rings and found a vibrant green gemstone that seemed to affect his emotions.
# Doing Well?
Feeling they had the key, the party traipsed back to the well. Finding it entirely covered with vines, they attempted the `Guardians of the Galaxy` approach: holding hands to lessen the potency of the well's charm. Everyone, but Dr. Evil, that is.
Everyone failed to uphold their lucidity and they had to utilize the rest of their herbal remedies to recover from their stupor before attempting to toss the gemstone into the well. Narrowly recovering the gem, the party left the well's embrace.
# Blink and You'll Miss It
Just outside the well's crater, the party ran into a roving pack of [[blink-dog-xmm|Blink Dogs]], with whom they tried to communicate. Speaking only in draconic, the dogs and their [[pixie-xmm|Pixie]] riders let the party know that there is clearly a [[fey]] influence beguiling this town, but could not relay any information regarding the supposed Mayor.
# Grave Robbers
Inspired by their success under the Mayor's bed, the party thought, "Where is the best place to dig for lost things?" The graveyard, course. Upon entering the cemetery, the party noticed nothing out of the ordinary and made their way to the west end where some fresh graves had been dug. Successfully searching both a mausoleum and an open grave's casket, they uncovered more talisman pieces. The total being [[Benji Pickletoes|Benji]] carrying the green gem, [[Sprocket]] carrying a flame shaped inlay, and [[Dr. Evil]] carrying both a totem with a holy symbol and a black gemstone.
After collecting their artefacts, the party began to leave the cemetery and found 2 [[vine-blight-xmm|Vine Blights]] and 2 [[needle-blight-xmm|Needle Blights]] blocking their path. Handily taking out the small cohort of blights, the party settled in for a [[long-rest-xphb|Long Rest]].
